Vale do Lobo has two championship 18 hole courses of contrasting character, the Vale do Lobo Royal Golf Course and the Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course. 

Designed by the legendary British golfer Sir Henry Cotton and upgraded in more recent times by the American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, they offer some of the best golf in Portugal.

The Royal Golf Course

The Vale do Lobo Royal Golf Course has been brought to perfection over the past few years and is ranked by the worlds leading golf magazines as one of Europe’s top courses.  The par 72 layout incorporates the world famous par 3, 16^th a spectacular hole which calls for an extensive carry over two yawning chasms in the red sandstone cliffs to the green 176 metres away. Another memorable hole is Roquemore´s signature par 3, 9^th over a lake to a wonderful semi-island green.

The Ocean Golf Course

The Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course is a typical links style layout with exhilarating ocean views and sea breezes which demand extra concentration. The 178 metre par 3 which runs parallel to the beach is a good example of some of the more testing holes on this lovely course.
